With a statement like this, who wouldn't want to ride the wave of datacenter expansion? And we have just the right opportunity for you – don't blink and don't think twice before it disappears! Oh right, we should do the responsible thing and give you details first. Alright, here we go:

Our client provides enterprise-class managed data center services, and they're looking for an experienced Project Manager for their team. They have around 70 datacenters servicing 29 different markets, and we can't disclose their clients – but think about any major industry player from hyperscalers, banks, healthcare and social media platforms, and they're likely in their CRM. It's safe to say it's a very impactful project that you'll have the chance to work on.

You'll be managing projects for internal processes that are tied to other departments and functions, and you'll be a part of the PM Office along with 2 other PMs and a junior PM. Everyone reports to the PMO Director. You will be the main contact for company stakeholders for change initiatives and responsible for aiding the staff throughout the projects. One of your biggest responsibilities will be to manage changing priorities and sustain cross-departmental staff commitment to meet each project's needs accordingly.

The list of responsibilities includes:

  • Meet project objectives, deliverables, and controls.
  • Plan, organize, monitor, and control projects using tools and strategies for efficient and effective completion.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate with managers, peers and partners on deliverables, timelines and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with the business to develop and transition plans to sustain changes, including ongoing success measures.
  • Provide updates on project timelines, budgets, and constraints.
  • Create and provide project documents.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and build solid business relationships across the organization.
  • Manage conflict that arises from competing priorities across different teams to deliver solutions in a timely manner.
  • Organize detailed development, IT and network projects around technical dependencies.

What qualifications and skills are we looking for?

  • 5+ plus years of project management experience
  • Data Center or SaaS industry experience
  • Excellent prioritization skills to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change quickly, with a high visibility
  • Precise attention to detail
  • A team player who is comfortable raising questions and escalating when needed
  • Experience resolving internal conflict and gaining staff support smoothly, relying on strong relationships across the organizations and influencing skills
  • Able to offer advice and factual recommendations, and experience developing new business processes
  • Impeccable interpersonal skills and executive presence to interact with a wide array of stakeholders.
  • Ability to gain a good grasp of operations and support functions and consult or influence leaders on business opportunities.
  • Solid skills with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Experience with Project Management tools such as SmartSheets or Monday.com, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Business Intelligence
  • 5+ plus years of Q2C experience, including CPQ, Proposal, Contracting, Order fulfilment, Invoicing, Post-install support, and Reports and analysis
  • 3+ years of M&A integration experience
