Senior Accountant/Auditor

Well, we're looking for an Accountant and Auditor who will swoop in and find challenges and opportunities businesses didn't know they had. Our client is a small firm in Canada with expertise in audits and reviews, offering personalized services. The team is supportive, accessible, and works as a cohesive unit without a strict hierarchy. If you have experience in an accounting firm and enjoy gathering client information, documenting findings, and providing client recommendations, this could be the ideal place for you.

What are the responsibilities for this position?
- Undertaking the preparation and assessment of financial statements, accompanying note disclosures, and supporting documents for the purpose of review and audit engagements.
- Executing Compilation engagements.
- Carrying out general accounting responsibilities to conclude a dossier as needed.
- Creating and evaluating reports and remittances for both federal and provincial government authorities.
- Holding the role of overseeing the staff members.
What is required?
- Degree in Accounting or Certified Public Accountant
- 3+ years of experience in general or tax accounting
- Knowledge of Quickbooks, Taxprep or DTMax, Caseware/Caseview, and Excel
- Robust capabilities in problem-solving and analysis
- Proficiency in collaborating effectively within a team-centered setting
- Excellent English communication skills. Bonus points for French.
