L1/L2 Data Center Technician

They're seeking experienced Level 1/Level 2 Data Center Technicians to join their team in Wappinger Falls and also in Manhattan. The ideal candidates will possess a strong networking background and hands-on experience in data centers. This challenging role involves hardware inspection, troubleshooting, break/fix tasks, and managing data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual inspections of hardware components.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on devices, including hard drives, cabling, servers, and network hardware.
- Execute break/fix tasks as necessary, including cable reconfigurations in case of failures.
- Document physical changes and verify existing documentation, including data center device inventory and patching.
- Manage MDF connections, including cross-rack and IDF closets.
- Assist with vendor installations, such as hardware and telecommunications contractors, including telco closet support.
- Act as an onsite resource to assist with burst capacity deployment.
- Handle the racking and un-racking of equipment.
- Install and remove internal server hardware components.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of relevant experience in data center operations, including break-fix tasks.
- Networking background and familiarity with data center environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow troubleshooting procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional service.
