DevOps Engineer

Do you want to work where no man has gone before? Well, not many anyway. Our client works on the bleeding edge of Ethereum technology and is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our crew. Fully remote-friendly, you’ll be working with colleagues based in Canada – if you’re Clark Kent you might want to avoid the Crypto-Nightshift though!

Focusing primarily on Ethereum, you’ll be a highly-skilled DevOps engineer with experience in the design, review, and implementation of system architecture. You’ll be comfortable working with less direction, proactively seeking out issues and their solutions.

The Employer

You’ll be working for a big name in Ethereum, a leading public company that has pioneered in yield generation (staking) and are building infrastructure to expand their business and pursue new opportunities. Although they’re an established business, they are still embracing the start-up culture and are looking for staff with that entrepreneurial mindset.

The Role

You’ll be working on a range of projects, with a focus on system architecture. You’ll be able to interpret and implement tech specs, and take responsibility for adding features from design through to delivery. You’ll also be developing the systems and processes that monitor nodes to keep the system up. As the technology is rapidly changing you will need to stay abreast of upcoming changes and anticipate how those might affect the system.

About You

If you’re the right person for this role, you’ll have:

  •       Great English communication skills
  •       A positive attitude to new challenges and learning new skills
  •       Experience in 100% uptime environments
  •       Familiarity with Linux and Docker deployment, setup, and monitoring
  •       Use of scripting languages like Python and Shell Script
  •       Node.js/Typescript and experience designing RESTful APIs
  •       Git or other version control, understanding of cryptography,

And you’d be perfect if you also had:

  •       History of running Ethereum Nodes
  •       A deep understanding of ETH2.0 or experience in developing/monitoring with it
  •       Have completed Ethereum 2.0: Serenity Study MasterExperience with Golang, and Kafka
  •       Worked with DeFi (Decentralized Finance) Products
