Azure DevOps Engineer

Now something you know, but may not have the stats for: Gartner estimates that by 2025, over 85% of organizations will adopt a cloud computing strategy and nearly all workloads will take place on cloud platforms.

 

No need to wait until 2025 in this case – our client is already taking their DevOps strategy to Azure cloud. This company provides learning technologies and e-learning programs for certified and non-certified professionals in the healthcare industry, financial industry, and more. They are currently leveraging an existing automated CI/CD pipeline and they need someone who can extend and improve their development and deployment tools through automation, restoring data in test environments, accelerated deployment of microservices environments for testing, etc. You'll collaborate with about five dev teams, the architecting team, CTO, Product Owners, and Directors. The key to this position is to have experience building pipelines!

 

Your responsibilities will include:

– Build and configure new dev tools and infrastructure

– Ensure that development adheres to established processes and performs as intended

– Help automate and improve development and release processes

– Ensure systems are protected against cybersecurity threats

– Improve the quality of the delivery and deliverables with the Quality Assurance team

 

<strong>What's required for this position?</strong>

-3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, or equivalent experience building pipelines

-Experience with .Net technologies

-Skilled in building deployment tools and pipelines (including YAML) in Azure DevOps

-Skilled in Azure Resource Management (ARM) templates

-Strong grasp of PowerShell

-Familiarity with Azure and Azure Services (inc. App Services, Azure Storage, Application Insights, Azure SQL databases)

-Strong knowledge of Git and Git workflows

-Strong knowledge of SQL and databases

-Bonus points for PH/MySQL and WordPress stack understanding
